In an attempt to maximize procrastination, this post is about last weeks trip to the depths of Seattle and the wonders of 88 Restaurant. Despite the nonchalant exterior, the restaurant was inviting with trinkets hanging off the walls and a light tasty broth in the pho. Since my notes are cryptic and my memory a little sketch, the recorded conversion might be unintelligible.

This week in pho was an exciting expedition to the wilds of Redmond and the expansive culinary landscape that is Pho Hoa. Of the intrepid crew of Jonathan B., Darin, Kevin, Tim, Les, and Eli, half of the crew dined on #45 in the "Adventurer's Choice" section since it contained the ever elusive crunchy flank. Although they did have fish sauce, they did not have complimentary pastries. Fortunately there was a little dessert shop just south a few stores. From the pho a faunt of ideas flowed forth.

This week the queue crew ended up at the ever popular Than Brothers Pho in Ballard. The cool kids got a medium number 9 and a cafe sua, and everybody else got a fine assortment of liquids. The broth seemed pretty dark, but it tasted pretty good to me.
